When my grandfather, Carl R., and grandmother, Lena, started our food
processing business in 1923, they found that the most effective way to inform
potential customers about their product was to actually let them sample it.
Grandpa Carl would don a clean, white shirt and suit, place a can of whole
tomatoes and sauerkraut in a small wooden cheese box, and drive his model
T-Ford to the city. He would then stop at each of the many corner-grocery
stores and confer (a sales pitch!) with its owner. Then, before leaving, he
would leave the two sample cans of product there, preferably with the
proprietor's wife. The product sold itself!
While current technology still does not provide you with the opportunity to
smell and taste any of our products on this web site, the information provided
to you here is descriptive and factual and allows you to make your own
decisions.
